Cherbear, it’s candlewick knots, which basically means one turn of thread on the needle, as opposed to the 3 to 9 for a French knot. The candlewicks are smaller, and while they do eat up a fucktonne of thread, French knots would eat up twice the amount.

Yes. The skeins cost me around $1.50 each, if I buy locally at Joann’s, and that puts my cost so far at around $239.00. It adds up.
