I’m tired of seeing losers with hot chicks Seriously, today at my college I saw this short, ugly Indian guy driving a Honda civic, and he had a hot blonde girl in his passenger seat. What on earth is up with that?!?!? I would climb mount Everest 10 times just to have a girl like that with me. I drive a BMW coupe and I’ve struggled all my life to get a girlfriend. What’s wrong with this world? Does anyone else get disturbed and offended when you see sights like this? Someone make sense of this ridiculousness.
Well, it makes a good point. It’s been my life struggle to get a beautiful, white girl; while that guy seemed to get one to hang out with him easily, despite having a worse car and being less white than me. I deserve her more. She should be in my passenger seat.

One time, probably 10 years ago on another forum, there was a guy who was so furious at being rejected by hot girls that he boasted of his plan to kidnap and torture a hot girl. He even had a place all picked out where he would “store” her while he was venting his rage upon her. There’s something deeply sick about our society.
But hey! Did this guy participate in the White Men March??
Though he has some things in common with them, this guy is a product of economic privilege. I doubt that’s true of the WMM marchers.
These guys are always convinced of their own perfection; every other man who has any sort of connection to a woman is some inferior type who doesn’t *deserve* to be with a woman (exactly who makes the official call there?)
All said quite a disturbing attitude of entitlement .

Sexism, racism, classism … this guy is basically making a post spelling out why he can’t find a meaningful relationship with women.
Amazing (to me) that what women might want, think, feel, prefer is no part of any of his thoughts. It’s as if he was talking about the gold coins he deserved for something he did. In his case, for being male. And then he wonders why these things with no feeling don’t feel for him.

I’m surprised there’s not much mention anywhere of Rodgers’ similarities to George Sodini. Both were fitness buffs, couldn’t get dates, were misogynists, and shot several people before committing suicide. The writeups I’ve seen on them include other similarities.
just following up on natashatasha’s #8 and quixote’s #9. It’s all just so horribly, painfully visible – the objectification of human beings, the racism, the classism, the obsessive sexism. One wonders who besides this guy’s family was actively concerned and what any of them said to him.
If nothing else brings home the value, indeed the necessity, of challenging these fucked up statements wherever encountered, that should be accomplished by the fact that it’s very likely this guy used the same assumptions to talk himself into a murder spree.
This is the part that tells me how narcissistic Rodger was. His existence was the only reason he should have a woman riding with him in his BMW. He didn’t have to establish relationships with women, he should just stand there and they should flock to him because of his sheer “me-ness.”
Even if the world worked the way he thinks it does, there’s always going to be some guy with a better car.
I’m guessing if he saw a whiter guy who works out more and has a different Ferrari for every day of the week he’s not going to high five him if he sees him with an attractive girlfriend.
Its going to be ‘how come this guy looks better than me, drives a better car and gets all the girls? Why do some guys get all the luck? Why are chicks so shallow that they go for the rich kid with the flashy car?’

I read one of the bodybuilding forum’s threads – basically all the other guys there challenged Rodger’s views, some very heatedly and others in a more compassionate fashion, by way of offering friendly advice. I was rather pleasantly surprised by that. I had rather low expectations of a mainly-male forum, so I must work on my prejudices. Elsewhere on the net, MRA’s may have been highfivin’ Rodgers no doubt. There was a SPLC blog which was over-run by the MRAs. All as tonedeaf as usual. The ‘movement’ took a hit with this case – an unsympathetic mainstream media spotlight is going to be trained on these guys and I am glad for that. Sunlight, disinfectant etc.
