A recent PPP poll contained a startling statistic: when Republicans were asked “Who is more responsible for bin Laden’s death, Mitt Romney or Barack Obama,” 47% answered “Not Sure,” and another 15% chose Romney.
IOW, most Republicans hate Obama so much that they can’t bring themselves to correctly answer that question even though they know what the answer is. That’s an astonishing look into the cognitive dissonance and delusional mind of today’s right, and it ought to scare the living shit out of everyone. Cross tabs and links here.

Why in the Hades would anyone be asking that question in the first place? I think to a certain extent, asking the question legitimizes the suggestion that maybe somehow Mittens had something to do with it.

That poll does indeed terrify me.
In Off Topic land, when I see Stephen I automatically read “Stef-fan”, not steven. But that might be because I’ve known a couple Stephens who have pronounced their name that way.

Let me explain: By simply using ordinary raw facts as the basis of your arguments, you are all making a fundamental mistake. For example:
Obama is in Reality (TM) born in Kenya although he was born on US soil, after taking into account the necessary corrections against the leftist bias of reality.
Likewise, after taking into account that Obama is not a real American(TM) and other factors, Romney was in Reality(TM) the key figure behind the assasination of Bin Laden.

I wonder how many of those respondents even read the question, rather than just noticing a ?, a box to check beside Romney, a box to check beside Obama, and reflexively checked Romney because, you know, you have to pick Romney over Obama for everything.

What actually happened was this: the Mormon Church baptized Reagan posthumously, which gave Romney power over his undead spirit. It was the Zombie Reagan raised by Romney that routed bin Laden (while Seal Team 6 distracted his bodyguards – the one helicopter crashing was deliberate to draw their attention).

They just think that once Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate is discover and the 2008 election is invalidated, Romney will be declared to have been president retroactively and therefore, gets credit for killing bin Laden.

As if this sort of thing was even new. Back in 2004 there was a poll (which I am afraid to find, I can’t handle that much stupid again) which showed there was a large block of Rethugs who were voting for Bush ’cause that thought he had Kerry’s policies while they thought Kerry had Bush’s.
Rethugs are often just dumb.
