Flush Rush from Armed Forces Radio

There is a move afoot to flush Rush Limbaugh from taxpayer-funded Armed Forces Radio. One WH petition is here. (Click here to email Rush’s remaining sponsors)

(LA Times) — If this were some aberration in Limbaugh’s behavior, fair-minded people might be tempted to accept his grudging and very limited apology. But it is nothing new. This is how he has “entertained” day after day for years. He doesn’t debate. He doesn’t inform. He vilifies, insults, smears, slanders, distorts and misleads. Rush is a schoolyard bully who specializes in picking on girls – or “feminazis,” as he loves to call them.

Indeed, this is no abberation. Rush greatest vile hits could fill a book. I’ll be collecting and posting a few samples throughout the day.

Actually it HAS filled up a book. Several of them. I remember getting some in college 10+ years ago. Whole books were able filled with Limbaugh quotes and how he’s wrong in the 90s. You could make a whole series with the material he produced since then.

There needs to be a fact-checker blog or something for people like Limbaugh, OReilly, Hannity, etc.

@ Stephen “Reading some of the stuff the guy has said is quite enlightening…”
I quite agree if by “enlightening” you mean that the stupid burns so hot that it sets your brain on fire which then melts and bleeds out your ears and eye sockets… and I think you do.

Yes, and stupid kids like my son-in-law are listening to Armed Forces Radio while they are deployed and then come back spouting his right-wing teabagger crap.
Let’s get him off of the military airwaves!

I don’t know why, but your ‘Flush Rush’ hed up there makes me think of that brilliant use of the Socratic method from Monty Python and the Holy Grrrail!

I take it you haven’t heard of Media Matters, or FAIR.
