This poem from the EvC Forum, “Another Reply To Bishop Wilberforce,” tickled my fancy, so here it is. All credit goes to the author, who goes by the name Dr Adequate.
A couple of my colleagues here, the Goodnoughs, have notice my mild and entirely rational interest in a certain class of organisms, and passed along a little cartoon.

Apparently, everything is sectarian. Now I learn that Windows is the Christian OS, to my vast relief. I’ll stick with my secular humanist Mac OS X, with its Darwin core and its demonic platypus mascot.

I can almost see why an octopus would find an elephant attractive, although it might look like a heptaplegic to it.

Is it trying to say that Condi is an amazing asset to the US who brings us all kinds of wonderful surprises? Could we get her to give up her current job and come work at the Common Cup in lovely downtown Morris? I’d order lunch there every day, I promise.
