But Trump has the spokesperson he deserves!

Charles Pierce thinks Sean Spicer deserves to be fired for this:

You had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons, Spicer said in response to questions about the implications of Assad’s chemical attacks.

Then he made it worse.

Hitler was not using the gas on his own people in the same way that Assad is doing.

His own people. On Passover.

That is an epic gaffe. If it were a hook, it would only be used for landing whales, and would require the power of a Wärtsilä-Sulzer RTA96-C to hoist it. Decades from now, people will remember where they were on the day Sean Spicer made Melissa McCarthy utterly superfluous; McCarthy is weeping right now, defeated, knowing she could never invent something as ridiculous, oblivious, and insensitive as that comment. Spicer will go to his deathbed regretting dropping that turd from his mouth. It’s going to be in his obituary afterwards. The only person praising the Lord for that remark right now is the CEO of United Airlines.

Since the invention of the spokesperson, there have only been five spokespeople that were rated the most incompetent, the most dishonest. This one left them all behind.

So yes, if Trump were a rational man who valued competence, Spicer should be immediately fired.

But Trump is not that man.

It’s cute that you think he’s capable of regret.

I haven’t believed a word Spicer says since “alternative facts” passed his lips. He won’t tell the truth, because he doesn’t know the truth. He is simply bullshitter/liar in chief for the Trump administration.

I bet he focuses on “…in the same way…”
Hitlr had them concentrated and herded them into chambers. Not bombs in populated areas. Htlr was much more concentrated. He only took out fakeGermans infiltrating the homeland from the ghettos. Assad’s mistake was collateral damage on innocents as all of Htlr’s victims were Guilty of being .…

    (1) That was Kellyanne Conway.
    (2) What took so long to spot Spicer is a liar?

Oh, his first press conference full of lies doesn’t count?

well then thank you Sean for clearing up any residual doubt I might have had.

As just a quick reminder of the history, Kellyanne Conway’s alternative facts was in response to questions about Spicer’s earlier lies, during his first press conference, about hair furor’s inauguration audience size.

You seem to think that Trump is not firing him for being incompetent. You may have overlooked the possibility that literally no one else may be willing to do that job.

When they set up the Holocaust Centres they won’t be as despicable as Assad by gassing their own people.

What is really getting under my skin is that the US has killed more than 200 civillans in a bombing just a few weeks ago. But that is just the “cost of war”*. Assad murdering 70 people on the other hand makes him worse than Hitler.
These ongoing hypocrisy by any government* is really getting out of hand.
And it means destroying your own moral grounds. How can anyone take the US serious when they complain about some atrocity committed by some asshole, when this asshole just has to turn around and say: “Next time we will just open a hospital at our target and let the US do our dirty work”.

*Obama was just as guilty of this. Or the German government. In fact i have yet to see a government that has any selfreflection at all.

Stuff like this is so f*cked up that Saturday Night Live can’t even use it.

If the spokesperson’s job is to reflect the President’s thoughts and views then Spicer may be doing a ‘heckuva job’.

Rachel Maddow covered Sean Spicer’s alarming level of ineptitude. It was shocking and appalling to see so many of Spicer’s moments of ineptitude lined up like that, (including today’s twisted Hitler analogy).

Maddow really exposed how extraordinarily bad Spicer is at his job. He gets even the simple stuff wrong.

Spicer also gets the big stuff wrong: he confused Orlando and Atlanta when he was talking about terrorist attacks. He misspoke so badly that he claimed Trump was attempting to “destabilize the region” (in reference to Syria). Not kidding. Spicer said that on CNN today.

Spicer can’t be clear even when he writes a statement (or an apology).

  15. dreamstone says

Then he made it even worse when he started to claim that Assad was worse because Assad’s victims were innocent.

  16. petemoulton says

“But Trump is not that man.” No, trumpelthinskin is no kind of ‘man’ at all. He’s nothing more than a petulant two-year-old in an adult body.

  17. blgmnts says

But is it ineptitude to do his job as a spokesperson or ineptitude to hide what he and/or people think behind closed WH doors?

  18. thirdmill says

I’m beginning to wonder if the entire Trump administration is just performance theater of the absurd; that at some point they’ll tell us it was just a joke. The idea that the state has been taken over by people that clueless, that oblivious, that banal is just too depressing.

Cross posted from the Political Madness All the Time thread:

As we expected, white nationalists and neo-Nazis are super pleased with Sean Spicer’s comments about Hitler:

Neo-Nazi website Infostormer credited Spicer with “exposing the Jewish gas chamber hoax at today’s White House press conference” and wrote of Spicer’s apology for his comments during an appearance with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, […] “Seriously, why would the media flip out over this? Could it be that Adolf Hitler didn’t really put six million Jews in gas chambers disguised as shower rooms?”
    —————–
Andrew Anglin, the operator of neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer, wrote that Spicer “went on and apologized to the Jewish Wolf of Blizter (sic), a representative of all Jews. In all fairness to Sean, the Hitler-Nazis didn’t ever gas babies. Instead, they drown them in buckets” […]
    ———————–
Hunter Wallace, an anti-Semitic writer who is a board member for the white supremacist hate group Council of Conservative Citizens (and whose real name is reportedly Brad Griffin), wrote on Twitter, “When Big Jew says jump, we only ask how high,” and asked, “Is Trump going to provide another line of evidence that he is controlled by Jews by firing Sean Spicer?” […]
    ——————-
Wallace’s website, Occidental Dissent, published an article with the headline “Nancy Pelosi & Various Jews Demand Firing of Sean Spicer for Hilarious Gassing Comments” that both claimed Jews control “society in general” and called the Holocaust the “greatest hoax.” […]

Now, while I kind of feel bad for Bashar al-Assad due to the lies being circulated about him gassing his own people, the fact remains that the now-trending Sean Spicer Holocaust Center Saga serves a great purpose in demonstrating Jewish control over our media, government, and society in general.

Spicer merely made some comments that were likely just blunders (maybe he decided to finally lash out against the Christ-Killers by reminding everyone that there were no “gas chambers” anywhere in the Third Reich), but when it comes to the Jews, there can be no mistakes when their Shoah myth is minimized even slightly.

If you challenge their greatest legend, and greatest hoax, you will be thrown into the pit of death without exception – even groveling like a pathetic cuckold rarely works. [Occidental Dissent, 4/11/17, Google Cache, 4/11/17]
