Numbers Game: One million dead

According to Worldometers, the one millionth death from COVID-19 happened at approximately 16:00 UTC on September 27, 2020.  The total only reflects the deaths reported, not those misattributed to flu, other medical conditions, or false numbers reported under orders of republican politicians in the US.  The real daily and total death count could be much higher.

Ten times in September there were 300,000 new infections in one day. In July and August, there were twenty days with at least 250,000 new infections. There was no days with over 250,000 before July 1.
