As per this website acute diseases are our friends , just self healing efforts of the body. But that friend in the form of acute diarrheal disease kills half a million Indian children every year !

There are now hundreds of government run medical schools teaching pseudo science. Thousands of Ayush practitioners are coming out from these institutions every year.

Government sponsored propagation of pseudo sciences is making many people shy away from scientific medicine. Patients reach scientific medicine facilities late after trying out all components of Ayush. Many of the alternative medicine practitioners are also involved in spreading irrational fears about scientific medicine and vaccines.

India’s health statistics are far from satisfactory compared even to its smaller and less powerful neighbors like Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Wasting valuable resources on pseudo science is not helping to improve it in any way.
