Black-headed Grosbeaks have shown here, but I don’t know If I’ll see any of the Rose-breasted this year. I always get so excited if they show, they are fantastically beautiful birds.
The colours are a bit woodpeckerish but the beak is a crunching megafinch beak.
Oh, what a gorgeous bird! I love the first shot, so sharp and the eye sparkle is just perfect!
