Gorgeous. We got grey herons here, which look quite similar but are only half the size, judged by the photos
Herons: some of my favourite birds.
Saw a white one recently but since it’s still just my phone and I, got a crappy long-distance photo. But the profile is recognizable.
Used to see a lot of the blue herons growing up, so these pictures are truly a wonderful reminder of their grace and style.
I’ve seen them opportunistically feed on small lizards on the lawn and patio of a Florida home. Majestic critters.
