Oooh… I’m glad to see her here. This is actually a nice group. Though I tend not to *post comments* in many other places, FTB has managed to group together some of my favorite reads.

  2. says

Yeah, because those younger feminists don’t know the difference between “being forced into the kitchen as their gender role” and “taking their fair share doing the effing dishes!”

She’ll grow into here once-weekly turn at dishwasher, once you break her in…

I have difficulty believing that anyone would bother cartons in the refrigerator that have tentacles dangling out of them.

    Zeno at #3 is skeptical!

But both squid and octopus can be an excellent dinner. A tentacle may be a gastronomic come-on!

  5. ckitching says

Are you sure you want her here? She once tried to create a massive earthquake using the power of boobs, and conspired against you to out-fund-raise. Can she be trusted not to use her powers for evil again?

  6. The Rat King says

I dunno, PZ – I think you should add a few unmarked containers to the fridge, or ones marked ‘Jen’…

You know, nice containers full of interesting dissections and organs.

  7. chigau (...---...) says

    ckitching:
    define “powers”
    define “evil”
    define “again”
    define “define”

    I got nothing.

  8. Charles Sullivan says

According to Yahoo Answers this is who Jen is: [this is so wrong]

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110707134621AANUNOM

Do you know who Jen McCreight is?
She’s the “skep-chick.” She writes a sorry blog called Blog Hag.

Anyway, she was at a hotel, and get this….wait for it….wait for it…..a drunk man behaved inappropriately toward her. Can you imagine the horror?

So, she went crying on her blog about and Richard Dawkins, yes, the Richard Dawkins told her to shtfu and tgo stop being such a baby. Then she wrote another blog whining and crying.

What do you think about this sorry woman?

  9. julian says

So, she went crying on her blog about and Richard Dawkins, yes, the Richard Dawkins told her to shtfu and tgo stop being such a baby.

    Wonderfully put.

Except for the whole not knowing what you’re talking about thing. But that’s such a minor detail. Didn’t stop Richard Dawkins so why should it stop you?

Seriously though, how hard is it to google someone’s name? Nice reminder of why you should always try to o to the source for whatever is being discussed.

  10. John Morales says

    [meta]

julian, you are aware Charles was quoting there, right?

Charles, you should probably make it obvious when you’re quoting.

  11. Algernon says

No no, the woman in the elevator was Ophelia Benson. Meh… who can keep all these women separate. I mean, they’e all women.

  12. says

It may be that Julian has a busted snarkometer, but it strikes me that Charles also has a glitch in his snark generator.

Of course, it could be that I’m just easily confused.

  13. Gregory says

@Stephen Schuldt #12 – What horrors would PZ keep in the fridge?

Some questions should just be left unasked, lest they be answered.

  14. Brother Yam says

Wow. Now if you could only get Jerry Coyne in here, I’d never have to into the nasty ol’ Internets again…

  15. arakasi says

So she shows up here and her second post is bisexual squid porn.

Is there something in the water here at FTB?

  16. opposablethumbs, que le pouce enragé mette les pouces says

Is there something in the water here at FTB?

    Squid, presumably. Mmmmm, squid!

  17. Rey Fox says

Snark or no snark, I don’t see any reason to subject any of us to anything from Yahoo Answers. Five thousand of my brain cells just committed suicide from just that little exposure.

  18. J.M. says

    #11

Yahoo! members can report such a question. Two reports or more gets the user a warning and the Q. is withdrawn. One such report is already in.

  19. Sili says

No no, the woman in the elevator was Ophelia Benson. Meh… who can keep all these women separate. I mean, they’e all women.

    No no no nooooo.

The man in the elevator was Ophelia Benson. (She’s a self-confessed ugly person.)

  20. Dave McCone says

@Stephen Schuldt #12 – You do not want to know of the things that PZ used to keep in the refrigerator – see his linked article for his merry tale of roommates, cats heads, dissection, and horror.

PZ, you might be interested to know that I recently learned the dorms that you and I were in as an undergrad were only a few blocks away from the rooming house where a few years earlier Ted Bundy was living and carrying on his macabre trade, so you were in good company, if not inspired.

I can attest to the fact that PZ’s story of Snowball and her (his?) dissection is true, as I was PZ’s roommate the year before he roomed with Jack, and peacefully shared the fridge with PZ and other specimens including Snowball. PZ had some pretty amazing dissection skills as an undergrad, so I can only imagine the current contents of his refrigerator.
