What a lovely picture. So much loveliness facing so much awfulness.
How fucking courageous that kid is. And her friends and supporters.
Will Malala go someplace safe when she gets better, do you think? The U.S. maybe? Or will she stay there?

Yep. Another tipping point where the stultifying fear of your oppressors is overcome by abject frustration toward them. Better find yourself a nice little hidey-hole Taliban motherfuckers… You’re gonna need a place to crawl into to go die in peace. Ya know, when you shoot a 14 year old girl in the face, its probably in your best interest to not fucking ADMIT it. Even in a mysogynistic shithole like Pakistan there are limits. You’ve hit it
These stories of “ENOUGH!” protest crowds is really uplifting.

When I read that the hospital in which Malala was held was surrounded by people, I must admit I feared the worst. It then transpired the people outside were wanting to donate blood and help Malala, which was beautiful. Of course, it’d be better if there was no cause for blood donation at all, but here we are.

Readers note that none of the women/girls in this photo are wearing hijab. As I said, not all of Pakistan is controlled by religious fundamentalists. (Not yet, anyway).

Did anyone say it was?
On the other hand, is any place in Pakistan safe from religious fundamentalists? Maybe military bases, but other than that?
