Please chip in to my Paypal account at Darksydothemoon-at-aol-com if you can. As I scratch and scrounge and depend on readers to stay afloat this month, Free Republic has raised almost a 100k and Sarah Palin is getting her own truthiness web-cable news station:

WaPo — In a Sunday video, the former Republican vice presidential nominee announced the Sarah Palin Channel, a subscription-based Web site that she says will offer news, video chats with her and behind-the-scenes glimpses of speeches and political events she attends.

The venture marks Palin’s latest broadside against news outlets she has long accused of unfair coverage, including of her 2008 campaign. It’s also an attempt to make her voice heard ahead of the midterm elections. She has hit the campaign trail his year on behalf of Republican congressional hopefuls.

In a separate post on Facebook, Palin directly takes on The Washington Post, arguing it has “fallen like a lead balloon” since the days of writing about the Watergate scandal.

Yes, off course, the former half-term governor would have been all over Watergate. Where all over means throwing up a defense of every dirty trick Nixon was accused of while distracting neoconfederates and fundamentalists with the same divisive drivel she so expertly traffics in today. Isn’t there some sort of danger of ripping the time-space continuum, perhaps a existential threat, putting all that stupid in one place? Can a black hole of stupidity exist? What might it look like?

Or, perhaps, I have the cause and effect backward. Could Sarah Palin be the embodiment of a black hole of stupid. She does seem to suck in intelligence from miles around.
