I’m assuming this was actually published somewhere. But where?

It may be less shocking than poor old ratdickgate, but having what appears to be a cerebellum hanging down into the ball sack presents its own challenges. I tried to make sense of “embyonly” and wound up on a site for a media server called Emby. Stuff like “Any way to have Emby only convert files with certain extensions?” or “I’m running Emby server version 4.4.3.0 on Ubuntu 18.04. I’m trying to get https to work but Emby only listens on http over ipv6.” Nothing to do with neural overkill in a badly rendered AI generated rodent.
AI is mecha nephew art. If it ha ha should gain sentience, it would sound like the apathetic building superintendent of a comical slum. Its motto: Good Enouh
Maybe it levitates. The tail may be connected to the leteral hypothalamic area.

That may have been an error. It’s the literal hypothalamic area, not to be confused with the littoral hypothalamic area, which I am shore would be wrong.

AI= Absurd Idiocy?
It reminds me of Far Side cartoons where odd animal parts get grafted together.
Maybe PZ should get a similar diagram for his crocoduck?

The paravencuible nucleus is a loosely defined region of epithelial tissue rostral and superficial to the paravencuible nucleus, a region of subcortical grey matter caudal and deep to the paravencuible nucleus.
What in the Robert C. O’Brien, Secret of NIMH bullshit is this?!

Akira is right, I find myself quite liking the second, adorably fuzzy image.
Problem is, even in its nonsense it does not make much sense. Just look at the top half, where the various entrails are so lovingly, squarely packed: the Paravenruible Nucleus (purple) is labeled, but not the two bits above it (yellow and green). The Saravhasatic Nucleus (teal) looks identical to the Arcuate Hypotamus, and of the rest only the Supcita Hypotha Nucles (red) is labeled, the others are left blank. Plus, the Paravencuible Nucleus line is clearly leading to the dear little fellow’s ear.
The bottom half of the mess I won’t even try to get into, but all in all it’s not only nonsense, but sloppy, inconsistent nonsense. Where’s the iron logic of the machines which are supposed to “supplant us, sooner rather than later”?
Can somebody please tell me that AI has some useful application as well? We can’t be burning all these fossil fuels to waste energy on a mock technology.

“Can somebody please tell me that AI has some useful application as well?”
It’s more useful than a grand prix, or a nascar race.
More useful than a pleasure cruise, and less expensive than a war.
It makes money, and that suffices.
Things aren’t created, sold and bought and used on the basis of utility.
“We can’t be burning all these fossil fuels to waste energy on a mock technology.”
If we couldn’t, we wouldn’t. That is a tautology.
Therefore, we can. And so we do.

More relevantly, if you imagine that is to what AI refers, then you miss the actuality.
(If you don’t, what’s the relevance?)

They’re Pinky and the Brain
Yes, Pinky and the Brain
One is a genius, the other’s other insane
They’re laboratory mice
Their genes have been spliced
They’re Pinky, they’re Pinky and the Brain
Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain
Before each night is done
Their plan will be unfurled
By the dawning of the sun
They’ll take over the world

“AI” or some whimsically weird anatomy artist?
I for one welcome our brain-mice overlords.
Might be inspired by some corny B-film with Peter Cushing et al. I recall a film with an invisible brain moving around and playing murder.
Still, it is the cutest, fuzziest brain I’ve ever seen. Who’s a sweet little brain-mouse? You are! Yes you are!
Gee Brain, what are we gonna do tonight?
You’re just jealous because spiders don’t have a subrochiassmic hypolamic.

They don’t label a non-literal hypothalamic area though and that’s immediately anterior to the literal hypothalamic area.
It seems to have a stretch of colon in it’s brain.
I’m not a biologist, but, the terminology in the illustration sounds like a dissertation by Professor Irwin Corey. Looks like a frankenmouse.
