The Problem Stated Clearly: Six panels and seven words
Karl-Erik Paasonen posted an illustration on facebook that deserves to go worldwide. With a few simple words and drawings, he explains science and knowledge versus ignorance and hubris.
The conspiracy theory illustration looks like it includes (or at least touches) all the data dots — unusual — but adds no invented “data” dots — very unusual — and also seems to accept the “information” labeling — which simply doesn’t happen. Ergo, this (you can decide whether by “this” I mean my comment, the OP’s comic, or the two-headed whale currently hovering midair outside my lair and glaring at me with an evil third eye) is a conspiracy theory about conspiracy theories.

Jumping to conclusions saves cognitive effort.
