Headline Muse, 8/6

In thoughtful and sober analysis,
Each side claims the other’s where malice is
With partisan bickering
Halting all dickering,
The word is “expect more paralysis”

Headline: Come September, expect more paralysis in Congress

But which sort of paralysis–spastic or flaccid–is the better metaphor?

Has to be spastic. Multiple muscles all firing simultaneously so as to oppose one another is a much better analogy than no muscles firing at all.

At least if it’s paralysis, it’s easier to stack them, wheel them out to the parking lot and hope someone comes to collect them and take them away. :/

Yeah, I agree with Neil. At least if it was flaccid paralysis they wouldn’t actively be taking whacks at America.
