Hindu mystics have long been claiming that they can, by sheer will and/or the intervention of god, levitate off the ground. Here is one way it is done.
A good rule of thumb is that if something violates the laws of science, it is not a miracle, it is not by ‘harnessing the energy field’ or some such Deepak Chopraesque mumbo-jumbo, and it is not due to a god. It is merely a trick. The only question to be explored is how the trick is carried out.

Good video. There was an interesting one that was linked, following yours, called the “supernatural revealed in india” about a team that goes around demonstrating to people how these tricks are performed. It’s cool to think that there’s a team of debunkers going around India exposing these tricks. I’ve gotta get me one of those chairs though so I can “levitate” too.

Neat. A cool levitation trick you can learn to do at home is called Balducci Levitation. Look it up on Wikipedia; there is a good explanation. You need no special equipment, and with a little practice in front of a mirror you can easily learn to do it (although really “selling” it is a little tougher).
