Pre-Hallowe’en festivity

I’m volunteering at the theater tonight — I’ve got a long shift, from 7-11, leading into the traditional Hallowe’en event, the showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you’re in Morris tonight at 11, this will be the happenin’ place.

I tried to think of some way to contribute to the Hallowe’en party mood, and came up with one: I’m giving all my students a midterm exam! I’m sure this will put me in the history books as an excellent “fun” science professor!

Maybe I should celebrate the holiday by torturing you all with biochemistry questions? For fun?

Back in the day, that would have been a good way to stock up on toilet paper and eggs.

Perhaps have them sit through 4 hour-long simulated project meetings for a bio-tech business? If those are anything like computer company project meetings then you’ve got real torture.

I got the ‘rona, so I’m going to celebrate the holiday by shutting off all the lights and pretending I’m not home for the trick or treaters. Stay safe, everybody!

Does Morris have a RHPS shadow cast? If not, why not? Perhaps you need to start one on campus! You could play the criminologist, or (with your bad legs) Dr. Scott. My son has 5 RHPS shadow cast performances in October this year (San Francisco, Petaluma 2×, Modesto, Berkeley), all as Brad Majors.
