Not an atheist but I’ll be there. No Kings!
I was thinking about making a sign that read, I Am Antifa. But then I got cold feet. Think about that for a minute. We supposedly have the right to free speech in this country, but here I am, a citizen and veteran, and I’m self-censoring myself out of fear of being harassed and possibly arrested by Trump’s private police force. Of course, I’m an anti-fascist. I suspect everyone reading this is too. This is how political repression begins, with baby steps. What’s the next thing to worry about saying in public? That I’m a Democrat? It could happen.
I’m getting ready to go to my local event. Details redacted, of course.
And yeah, I feel that, @2. Meanwhile, there are apparently executive orders to treat me like a criminal because I was born with a mental disability. (And frankly, I think autism’s only a disability because society actively resists accommodation. )

Trump and Miller have already tried branding Democrats in general as terrorists. Since I am finally able to walk some distance without a cane, I’ll be marching an a few hours today.
Personally, I think the bulk Americans who fought in WWII were actually itching to kill Japanese folks in vengeance for Pearl Harbor rather than white Europeans. I mean, the vast majority of those in the European Theater were just as racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, and authoritarian as the Germans, Italians, et al.. They’re only objection to Nazism was that it was “foreign” fascism rather than a home-grown, all-American variety.

The GOP fascists are clearly afraid of these protests.
