By the way, I’m in the Pacific Northwest this week

I’m hanging out in Auburn, Washington with my mother and sisters, and yesterday I go to see my son and daughter-in-law and grandson. Mom is looking pretty good, fortunately. I might get some opportunities to get around the area and explore.

As I anticipated, it’s cool, gray, and raining. Perfect weather!

Happy for you that your mom is looking pretty good.

And indeed, you’re not alone in considering cool, gray, and raining to be perfect weather.

Had your definition of perfect weather last night. Most of my fingers are still painfully stiff and I stayed indoors.
There is one thing worse than getting older, that is not living to get older. I’ll keep repeating that one, even at the risk of finding me beside myself and slapping me with a hammer…
Excuse me, while I preemptively order a replacement hammer.

Here in Victoria the atmospheric river drifted south overnight and we now have only a bit of cloud. I like cloudy better than rainy personally. I like cloudy better than bright sunshine come to that.

Currently the weather radar shows the nearest precipitation to be somewhere in Montana and the local forecast is for some sun tomorrow.

So your Myers forebears did come from Yorkshire.

Liar! The Pacific Northwest does not exist!
Also, see my film proving the alien abductions are really done by demons masquerading as aliens.

There are some places along the northwest coast that are in “rain shadow”. They might be less “grungy” places to live.

Glad to see you are back in God’s country. I live in the hills behind Renton (Fairwood), so not that far away.

By a few days, you missed the most-Seattle-weather-forecast-evah on NPR last week:

“Rain tonight, rain tomorrow, rain tomorrow night, rain thereafter.”

@11: “The Pacific Northwest does not exist!”

I live in the Pacific Southwest. Of Canada that is.

So I look across the strait from here on the Pacific Southwest and I am looking to the South upon the Olympic mountains in the Pacific Northwest…

Argh! Just ran into a screwball tube video blathering how life could’ve originated inside of a primordial black hole, at a temp of 10^10 K.
I guess the matter was protected from going all quark-gluon by the unicorn farts.

Even money, these same folks would’ve happily attributed Pioneer’s acceleration to a starship’s tractor beam, had someone not already solved the issue by finding the heat leak that was accelerating them.

A shambles? Why, your place is a step above mine then. Kind of made quite the mess making a whole tilapia and some other goodies for dinner.
Got a couple of forkfuls left, that’ll be tomorrow morning’s breakfast.
Once I digest, I’ll have to mop up the, erm, residue juices and once the pan’s soaked for a while, I can get that sorted.
