We’ve got some smart people talking about abortion in a few hours. I’m hoping to be one of them, but I’m juggling a crowded schedule today, spending some time with a granddaughter at a science museum. Maybe she’ll take a nap…

If you get bored as you wait, behold this Christian classic from God Awful Movies: “Bells of Innocence”. The son of Chuck Norris murders his daughter by deliberately pushing her bike in front of a car. It gets weirder from that onwards. https://youtu.be/Re6DmojobBs
I think we should consider changing our language. The SCOTUS did not make abortion illegal. They took away a women’s bodily authority and gave it to state legislatures.
Think about it. American citizens* now no longer have bodily authority over their own bodies. That our bodily authority is now up to the state legislature and governor. I don’t think this is a trivial difference in the words we use.
*I wrote citizens because apparently unlike SCOTUS, I consider women every much citizens as any man.

Taking Florida as an example, giving that kind of power to a state legislature is horrifying.

Hey, RWNJs, about those cancer cells growing in your body?
They’re alive.
They’re human.
So, wrong to abort them.
Sucks to be you. Have a slow, painful death.
