We were making the rounds on our spider survey today, and came across many scenes like this. The egg sacs are opening and releasing clouds of adorable little babbies!
Mom is hanging out down below, gnawing on haunch of arthropod. Families! So precious!

I got my 3 yo grandson interested in spiders last week.
Rolling up the solar cover, I rescued a momma spider with all her babies on her back. When holding her, the babies briefly came off her back and then retreated to safety. We carefully put her on a plant with aphids(lots of mouths to feed and aphids to get rid of!!!). He went back several times to watch her.
So he learned about spiders, aphids.
Grandchildren are a joy.
