Our excitement this evening

Ha ha! Missed me again, God!

  1. Nerd of Redhead, Dances OM Trolls says

Ooh, that was close. Many tornado stories from those of us in the Midwest.

  2. says

It does make one understand how people might believe in divine aggression, djinns, stuff like that. Especially without non-local news coverage, so one couldn’t realize that it’s a fairly common thing on a planetary scale even though it might hit a particular locale only once in lifetimes.

  3. Dark Jaguar says

Oh god wasn’t aiming for you, but rather a particularly disrespectful grasshopper. There’s no kill like overkill.

  4. blf says

@4: Teh magic sky faeries’s aim is notoriously bad, both spatially and temporally. It/her/they/him very probably wasn’t aiming for Earth, or the 21st century. Her/it/him/they might have even been trying to clean to the blood off its claws, or perhaps tenderise a pea.

  5. birgerjohansson says

Since Baal is a stom god, he may be belatedly reacting to the extinction of his cult by the early Jews. Or he is just sulking, throwing a temper tantrum now and then.
Hmm… what was the name of the storm god of the local indigenous people?
