    It does make one understand how people might believe in divine aggression, djinns, stuff like that. Especially without non-local news coverage, so one couldn’t realize that it’s a fairly common thing on a planetary scale even though it might hit a particular locale only once in lifetimes.

    @4: Teh magic sky faeries’s aim is notoriously bad, both spatially and temporally. It/her/they/him very probably wasn’t aiming for Earth, or the 21st century. Her/it/him/they might have even been trying to clean to the blood off its claws, or perhaps tenderise a pea.

    Since Baal is a stom god, he may be belatedly reacting to the extinction of his cult by the early Jews. Or he is just sulking, throwing a temper tantrum now and then.
    Hmm… what was the name of the storm god of the local indigenous people?
