If they didn’t catch all the Red Eared Sliders that have invaded the Western Pond Turtle habitat, they’re just adding protein to the food chain.

I’m seeing a big uptick in the number of pet turtles in the past 2 years. While I do think it’s good to lower the number of carnivorous pets for environmental reasons, taking reptiles out of the wild is a terrible idea.
That’s actually a really interesting video. I like the idea of the project; to give the turtles a growth boost, to get them past their vulnerable stage. Pretty cool.
