I’m not surprised by the CNN one. I remember reading once that they had about 50 reporters covering the Japan Earthquake/Fukushima Daichi disaster, and over twice as many as that covering the royal wedding. Glad to see they’re consistent about getting their priorities screwed up.

To be fair to Yahoo, as far as I can tell their headlines’ locations are based entirely on which ones are getting clicked on, so it’s more like “Yahoo users, I am disappoint.”

CNN did have Norway as their “Top News Story” for most of the day as I was researching for this: http://skepticfreethought.com/…. I think that it’s based on what is the most popular as far as views. In which case, the readers are to blame, not the website. Just my guess though.

I’m just surprised that Fox News still considers the Norway massacre news, given that it apparently wasn’t committed by a Muslim radical, but an anti-Muslim radical.

More defense of CNN: their mobile site has Norway-related stuff on top, ahead of Amy Winehouse.

F*x Noise to blame Afghani heroin MADE & TRAFFICKED BY BROWN MUSLIMISH TERRAISTS for the death of Winehouse in 3… 2… 1…

Another breather-post. One could get paranoid suspicions about two major events just in time … **This sentence of very bad black humour should only be read as the excrescence of a warped human mind that it is.

Fox can use this to argue in favor of CCW permits (Norway doesn’t have them – could an armed bystander have thwarted the attack?).  Of course they’ll still cover the story.

I think the comparison is slightly confounded by the fact that the Winehouse news is newer. I still think them being treated even equally is insane, but just thought it was worth acknowledging the confounding factor.

i was also disappointed with cnn’s coverage — amy winehouse should have just been a link.  norway deserved more attention.
