Happy Birthday, Blag Hag!

Guess what?! Today is Blag Hag’s first birthday! I’ve officially been blogging for a year. Woooooo! Let’s celebrate! Crazy internet party! Yeah!

Or maybe you could just like, say what posts you liked the most in the last year. That would work too. Still think a crazy internet party would be more fun though.

I'm in for a crazy internet party.

For reference, the Creation Museum cartoon and subsequent review were great. Pirate protests were interesting to read about. Dating advice to atheists was good too.

    Well, happy birthday, Blag Hag!

I have to say I still think the John Harrigan series was my favourite as well.

That's not to say that the rest wasn't great – I wouldn't still be reading if that weren't the case – but those were the first posts of yours I read.

Happy birthday and congrats! I'd sign up for the Pirates versus Ninjas dance off, but first I need to get booze …

As for your best posting in year 1? The Creation Museum review for content, but your funniest posts were "You know what else is an abomination, Maine? Lobster." and and one early piece about animals trying to agree on one (1) correct kind of sexuality. Hilarious.

Whoa! I have been blogging longer than you? That doesn't seem possible. Anyways, my favorite posts were the ones from the Creation Museum. Enlightening stuff. I still need to visit there sometime.

I second Bowler, that animals dissing monogamy piece was amazing.

(Jen: I thought I posted this earlier this evening, and saw it go up, then it disappeared. Software got the flu?)

There's been some hiccups of late, Hugo. Once I posted about Coke with real sugar tasting like delicious communism, and it didn't show up for like 2 hours.

The Creation Museum comic was cool; the 24-hr blogathon was a fun mix of silly and serious; the "porn and popcorn" event at Purdue discussions (though I mostly stayed out of those arguments) were both frustrating and entertaining. It's pretty hard to narrow down the best thing from the last year, as there has been so much that is good!

    Happy Birthday, BlagHag Blog!

Hmmm…I started reading in October…since then, my favorite posts have been Kevin Van Aelst's Nerdy Food Art and The Chemical Party video. The two posts that riled me up the most were the fatwa on the 16yo rape victim, and the British couple in Dubai that came forward to report the woman's rape, who were subsequently arrested for sharing a room while unmarried.
