Fantastic addition to this site – perfect fit.
Now, RD guys, will this mean more frequent podcasts? That would be greatly appreciated. Of course, I’d be happy with smaller, more regular bits too.
As a
paidsubscriber I feel I can demand these things.Seriously, as a fan of several of the FtB blogs and RD, I’m excited for what RD can bring to this site (and what the site can do for RD).

Nice! My favorite podcast now living between my two favorite blogs. Soon, freethoughtblogs will be the only place online I have to visit.

Episode 9 in the podcast is broken. All that is there is scratchy electronic audio noise, no actual audio.

Thanks for all of the thought put into your podcasts and the interesting and relevant topics. I’m an ex-fundamentalist homeschooler that just experienced “the final straw that broke the camel’s back” this year. After 40 years of patiently sacrificing myself and my family to God, I finally stopped fighting my intellect. The bane of my existence at church has been my critical, mathematical, scientific mind. The number of times I’ve prostrated myself at the church alter and knelt beside my bedside, relinquishing my doubt-filled mind, are too numerous to count. Your podcast is like coming home after a long journey. The way you read through events and go about analyzing them is so refreshing. I love when you cite studies of a psychological-religious nature. Keep up the good work.

Hi folks,
Having a micro twitter discussion with a friend (you’re welcome to join!), and am looking for the info about divorce rates among different religious denominations; he says it’s *lowest* among evangelicals, but I seem to recall a RD episode suggesting it was *highest*. While acknowledging that these figures are hard to parse, can anyone tell me which episode this was, and what teh factz iz?
Thanks all!

Sorry to respond on this old thread, but I can’t find any better place to mention this. I am slowly working my way through your back catalog and found that episode RD09 is completely garbled. I tried to download from both doubtcast and feedburner but it’s the same file. Is it possible to upload a working copy of this?
Thanks. Great show. Wouldn’t want to miss one!

Nobody knows what it is until the opponents are determined, both conferences wrap up their second rounds and the TV networks can consult on who gets which games and when those games will be.. . You may be able to buy them, but if you do you won’t know the dates. If you wait until you know the dates, they’ll probably be sold out.. . You could try talking to a friend with time and arranging for him to buy the tickets from you if you can’t make it.. . Of course, the Flyers have to make it there first…

“What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award? you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.”
