   Wow, look: anonymous, faceless women! Now why should that be. Let’s see….

   Maybe they’re just “shy”.

   Maybe they missed photo day for the yearbook.

   Maybe they are really two dimensional, featureless shapes

   Maybe they’re really invisible so no photos can be taken of them. Kinda like the vampire/mirror thing.

   Sorry, I’ve run out of charitable explanations for the disappearing of these women, and I really doubt there is one.

   Hmm, I notice that both women are “available to deliver talks, lectures and presentations to and for women.” Can’t have women lecturing to men it seems.

   You are so evil and racist for making fun of a poor despised outgroup. Some of those women whose faces have been disappeared may be more feminist than you, Ophelia Benson! They after all have avoided the male gaze and kept themselves pure and holy.

   I recall seeing something along the same lines several months back. IIRC, the original version simply had empty boxes or boxes with some symbol for the women, later replaced with something similar to what is seen here.

   I’m actually surprised each woman gets a whole box, instead of a half box [/contempt]

    No, no – you-all don’t understand. Women are SO respected in islam that, like mohammad, they may not be represented by a image.
