What continues to transpire on the Keyboard Komando side of the aisle is truly alarming. This week we’re breathlessly told the law student, the one throughly smeared for daring to mention women’s health as an issue of import for some voters, has a boyfriend. And he’s not just any old hell-bound non-Christian, he’s one of those successful, book learn’n intellectual types. You know the kind: [Read more…]
After Santorum’s frothy surge in last night’s primaries, the talk of tradmed town inevitably turned to Newt. He’s losing right and left, both metaphorically and literally, he’s being dragged through the mud viciously by Romney’s Borg, he can’t even win the neoconfederate regions that spawned him. Santorum, yes Rick Santorum, has beaten Gingrich in 20 of the last 24 states, and by staying in Gingrich virtually assures Romney, a man he clearly despises, the nomination. “Why stay in” they’re all asking? To answer that you simply need to understand what it is Newt Gingrich does for a living. [Read more…]

Our friends at Fox News have posted a great primer of how the delegate math works for Alabama and Mississippi this evening. These states aren’t terribly complex compared to some, but the math isn’t simple representative wins by district or percentage either. There’s more to it than simple statewide vote totals. It has combinations of district thresholds, open delegates, and winner take all provisions. Confused? See below [Read more…]
It’s not exactly a surprise that on the right, in the two states holding primaries tomorrow, Mississippi and Alabama, the anti-science Teaparty ignoramuses run the show. But data from the PPP poll on voter preferences below also held some interesting data about evolution and Obama that really drive home just how out of touch these voters are. [Read more…]
Call it the Return of Gingrich, or possibly the Santorum Surge, then again it could be Romney’s long predicted Knock-out Punch. You can call it anything you want, because all three GOP hopefuls are clustered tightly within a few points of one another in a new poll on the eve of the Mississippi and Alabama primaries tomorrow: [Read more…]
See that chart up there compiled by NASA of ground and ocean surface temperature readings over the last century? Fear not, for Senator James Inhofe (R-bugfuck) assures us all, every one, that God is on the case, and in fact He has been from the very beginning when the univserse was created lo those few thousand years ago. It says so in Genesis: [Read more…]
Not gonna say I told you so … but I did. What’s interesting about this month’s report is, as little as a two weeks ago, I was hearing some behind the scenes speculation from reliable people who murmured that this report was expected to be lousy, the weakest of the Winter-Spring set. So it’s not clear to me what this means: [Read more…]
