A great idea

As the US population ages, there will be many people who are retired and in nursing homes. Such people may lack mobility and risk feeling lonely and useless, not a good thing for people who have such a wealth of life experience and so much to contribute. Stephen Colbert describes a nice program where older people teach English to foreign students by talking to them over the internet.

This should be expanded so that people in other countries teach their language to American students as well. Not only does this give older people a chance to help others and young people an excellent way to learn language, it would increase global understanding of people across nations, cultures, and generations, and that has to be a good thing.

Oh those Republicans. Never get their facts straight. Everybody knows Hitler and Josef Mengele are gay partners sharing a bungalow in Argentina.
