I had my medical follow-up this morning, and it was entertaining. We looked at photos from my arthroscopic surgery! That photo to the right is not my knee; my knee was much more scruffy and cluttered with debris, that got scoured out. Everything is healing up just fine, and I have to stick with the PT and build everything back up into a state of normalcy.
Prognosis positive!

Good.
Glad to hear it, PZ! Wishing you all the best for your recovery.
So the study you quoted was wrong after all! I suppose scepticism does pay off sometimes…
Congratulations, and get even better soon.
The experience of one individual two weeks after surgery does not refute the study at all.
Great that you are one of the people for whom the procedure has worked!
One of the biggest problems across medicine is working out who any procedure or medicine will help, in order to even start solving that problem you have to know that it is there in the first place. That is what studies like that which PZ referred to do, but they apply on a population of patients not to individual patients
You looked at pictures inside the knees of strangers? Kinky!
