What’s that phrase?… two legs bad, four legs good, six legs better, eight legs best.
    Or something like that.

The face does resemble you, PZ, but it looks like only 6 legs. That can’t be right. There must be two more legs hidden somewhere.

The heptapods in that film could see the future and that is better than having just two legs.
    .
The elevators in the building where Zaphod Breeblebox got in trouble with the Frogstar Fighers could also see into the future, and no elevator died that day. So being a zeropod with precog powers is also pretty good.

I voted absentee last week at the library. Right now I’m trying to convince myself that I will not look at any news all day tomorrow. I’m negotiating with myself about when it will be ok to read some news. Can I wait until Wednesday morning or will I do it Tuesday before bed. I’m so full of dread. I’d like to be able to choose between having six or eight legs.

For those Americans who haven’t voted yet some potentially useful info for today here :

Democracy will be ending if Democrats lose the midterms. I’ve studied history all of my life. I taught history. And I’m telling you, what I see here are parallels to what the history was in this world back inthe 1930’s in Germany.

    Plus a meme and a rhyme :

    Roe Roe Roe your vote
    Keep our country free!
    Block the trolls,
    Ignore the polls
    Save Democracy!

Too on the direction the USA seems to be sliding towards currently.

    robro @ # 5: … it looks like only 6 legs.

Five and a half, actually. I’ve seen numerous <8-legged spiders – it’s rough out there when you’re that small.
