Knut is just standing there, looking cool with his grandma.
That’s his latest trick — standing. He’s pretty impressed with himself.
Unfortunately for him, he’s only got two more days with this grandma, since she’s got to come home to take care of me for a while. He will be flying to Korea to spend some time with his other grandma later this summer, though.

Poor kid.
He has no IDEA where all this standing up can lead to!

That kid is a cutie, Gampy PZ. The look in his eyes says mom and dad are gonna have some real trouble soon. Something in the genes?

Our eldest child had learned to walk without ever learning how to crawl. This resulted in her climbing up at one location, go a couple of meters, overbalancing and falling and being incapable of moving from that spot.
After much bawling and our realizing immediately the cause, my wife asked me what we could do to help her.
So, I got onto my hands and knees and crawled all around the room “looking” for her. After a few minutes of laughter from the baby, a sudden silence and wide open eyes showed that she got the idea and she began crawling.
Our second child learned in the usual order, backwards crawling (easier, both to not slam one’s face into the floor and move), then forward.
That all said, the baby is a cutie! I’m available for babysitting duty any time that the family is in central PA. My prices are reasonable – recipes. :)

Such a cutie! He’s probably on track to walk early – then the parents are really in trouble!
Our first one took her first steps at 9 1/2 months at a college departmental party, while trying to grab my cocktail.
The entire party got quiet and even the professors were counting her steps and then implored me to give her a sip.

Got the look in his eye that he’s almost got it figured out. Hope his parents don’t have circular floor plan. The Redhead’s niece took her first steps with such a plan, and followed her mother who was filming for many orbits around the floor plan before finally tiring….
