Missouri governor Eric Greitens has been indicted and taken into custody for felony invasion of privacy. I am shocked. I thought it was OK if you’re a Republican.
Lock him up! Lock him up!
In other cheerful news, Oregon just passed a bill prohibiting domestic violence perpetrators from owning a gun. Hooray!

Congratulations to Oregon on joining the 20th Century or do I mean the 19th C. ?

Hmmm. I’m starting to get the feeling that Republican Family Values (TM) aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.

I read the linked article on the Oregon bill. They alredy banned gun ownership in a number of cases. This one closes what they refer to as the “boyfriend loophole”. It also–in a single mention–appears to apply if there is a restraining order, not just on conviction.
As regards the governor of Missouri, he was arrested, booked, and release on his own recognizance.

Oh, okay, Oregon is rapidly gaining on the 18th C. It should reach the 20th C in a few hundred years.

While we’re on the subject of the party of family values, it hasn’t gotten much attention but the minority whip of the Rhode Island state senate, Nicholas Kettle, has been indicted for sending a nude photo of his ex girlfriend to a pal, and extorting sex from a (male) senate page. Hilarious details here.

Cervantes, in regard to failed shenagians by C-rate politicians, here is Mano Singah’s blog:

I particularly like Corbyn’s ominous hints about his plans for the Gutter Press owners (coughMurdochcough).
