I, too, inferred that this plant must flower all year, such that it could provide year-round sustenance to this specialized bird. Otherwise the deeply curved bill would disadvantage the critter for other fare, thus probably resisting such co-evolution to this (as I view it) extreme. Thanks for sharing this.
