I have enormous respect for the Southall Black Sisters, as I do for groups like Sisters in Islam (Malaysia) who despite their name have always stood for secularity, equal justice for all (including religious minorities) and stood against the encroach of the theocrats. I trust them far more than I do the fashionable feminists of Jezebel or the Guardian’s Laurie Penny.
