Then again, “Big Bang” was coined by someone mocking the concept as well; physics is weird with names sometimes.

@ Jacob : Yes, if was Sir Fred Hoyle who coined “Big Bang”. I found a copy of the book in which he pooh-poohed that at a spa some time ago … wish I’d sneaked it out.
