The more you watch TV, the more you lose your sperms.

Men watch TV while women cook and clean. Men watch TV during weekends and holidays.
Do they know that the more they watch TV, the more they lose their sperms?

Study says:

Those who spent lots of time watching TV or DVDs – at least 20 hours a week – had a sperm count that was 44% lower than men who spent little time in front of the box.

Men should now seriously start doing chores and women should spend some time watching TV or DVDs.

Fatwa issued against music

A fatwa has been issued to the all girls band of Kashmir by the Grand Mufti and has condemned the rock band and has added that music is bad for the development of a society. The grand mufti, on Sunday, openly castigated the “political leadership for expressing unnecessary support” to a “shameless act”. He says:

“Such trivial acts (singing and playing instruments) never develop society but are a first step to demolish its moral fabric. I am happy that the new generation has attained a pro-development and pro-religion stance but there are some girls treading on the path of destruction. They should stop from such activities and not to get influenced by the support of political leadership.”

Allah hates music.
Will Musims continue to hate everything Allah hates? Or they should do what ever they like to do, e.g. singing and dancing, and be proud of having their own individual choice!

Burqas for babies

To protect baby girls from being sexually exploited, the Saudi cleric, Sheikh Abdullah Daoud, has called parents to make their female children wear burqas.
Sheikh Abdullah Daoud believes burqas will protect baby girls because men can not control their sexual urges for babies who do not wear burqas. He asks parents to force their children to wear burqas. He definitely thinks it is better to torture babies with burqas than to control men’s desire to molest children.

baby-burka

Women have no right to live as human beings under Islam. Even a female baby does not have the right to enjoy her childhood. She has to hide her little body from fellow humans and have a constant fear of being molested.

Time for animals to feel sorry for humans.

Islamic preacher raped and killed his daughter but hardly got punishment under Islamic laws.

Fayhan Al Gamdi, a Saudi preacher who raped his five-year-old daughter and tortured her to death has been sentenced to pay “blood money” to the mother after having served a short jail term.

Lama Al Ghamdi was admitted to hospital with multiple injuries, a crushed skull, broken ribs and left arm, extensive bruising and burns. Child’s rectum had been torn open and the abuser had attempted to burn it closed. She died.

‘The judge had ruled the prosecution could only seek blood money and the time the defendant had served in prison since Lama’s death suffices as punishment. The ruling is based on Islamic laws that a father cannot be executed for murdering his children, nor can husbands be executed for murdering their wives.’

A father cannot be executed for murdering his children, nor can husbands be executed for murdering their wives. But a mother should be executed for murdering her children and wives should be executed for murdering their husbands. Right?

Will Muslims continue to tolerate misogyny, barbarism, inequalities and injustices of Islam?

Some animals are altruistic. Some plants are altruistic too.

Researchers from the University of Colorado-Boulder have found evidence that suggests some plants are altruistic or unselfish or selfless too.

UC-Boulder researchers examined corn, in which each fertilized seed contained an embryo and a matching piece of tissue known as endosperm that nourishes the embryo as the seed grows. They compared the growth and behavior of the embryos and endosperm in seeds with the same mother and father with the growth and behavior of embryos and endosperm that had genetically different parents..

The researchers say:

“The results indicated embryos with the same mother and father as the endosperm in their seed weighed significantly more than embryos with the same mother but a different father..”

“We found that endosperm that does not share the same father as the embryo does not hand over as much food — it appears to be acting less cooperatively.”

“Altruism only evolves if the benefactor is a close relative of the beneficiary. When the endosperm gives all of its food to the embryo and then dies, it doesn’t get more altruistic than that.”

I haven’t seen altruism in plants yet. But I have seen altruism in animals. They are amazing.

Some scientists believe humans have in-built altruism. But most humans behave altruistically towards close kin than to distant kin and non-kin. I wish humans could be more altruistic towards non-kin, animals and plants. The idea of the ‘survival of the fittest’ has been replaced by the idea of the ‘survival of the nicest.’

Humans are responsible for the extinction of the Thylacine

A new study says, Humans Alone Wiped Out Thylacine or Tasmanian Tiger.

We humans made many animals become extinct. Thylacine was one of them.

thylacine-loss-humans-responsible

Thylacines looked like a cross between a hyena and a tiger. They had pouches like possums and tails like kangaroos. The Tasmanian government put bounties on dead thylacines in 1830, blaming them for attacks on sheep, paid £1 per head for dead adult thylacines and ten shillings for puppies. Actually many more thylacines were killed than were claimed for by farmers and bounty hunters. The reasons behind the thylacine’s extinction in the 20th century are bounty hunting, habitat loss, reduction in the thylacine’s prey due to human harvesting and competition from millions of introduced sheep.

I do not think we should bring thylacines back to life. They would die out anyway, because their jaws were weak and they had low genetic diversity. Tasmanian devil will soon be extinct by a contagious cancer . We should rather try to save endangered animals like Tiger, Polar Bear, Giant Panda, Chimpanzee, Amur Leopard, Elephant, Dolphin, Rhino, Tree Kangaroo, Bonobo, Whale, Orangutan, Gorilla, Marine Turtle. It is their planet too. We humans just share this planet with them. We do not have the right to wipe them out.

Elephants don’t want to say ‘goodbye’

Ten endangered pygmy elephants have been found dead in a reserve in Malaysia. They all suffered internal bleeding. The elephants were most likely poisoned.
A three-month-old baby elephant is trying to wake her mother. She does not like to say goodbye.

I do not know, whether any animals weep and shed tears like humans for emotional reasons. I know they mourn the death of their loved ones. Elephants do it. I do not really know what they exactly feel. I wish I knew.

The mother elephant does not accept her new-born baby’s death. She is trying to wake her up.

Elephants mourn the death of other elephants.

Elephants stop when they see a dead elephant. They are grieving. Now a days humans do not have time to stop for a human.

We created a word: ‘humane’. The word is closely related to human. Humane is about having or showing compassion or benevolence. Why don’t we create a word like humane related to elephants because elephants have compassion and they show it! Sometimes I feel that they have more compassion than us. What about ‘elephantane’?

A unique protest against pollution

You may not like Chinese philanthropist and environmentalist Chen Guangbiao, I like him. He has been selling canned fresh air to fight pollution.
Chen said, “Every day we are inhaling the exhaust fumes of cars, and now we have pollution-free air to sell – a benefit to everyone’s health and longevity.”

Canned fresh air is selling well in China. Chen believes a sale of more than a hundred million in the first year should not be a problem. He actually wanted to make a point that China’s air was turning so bad that the idea of bottled fresh air is no longer a luxury.
Beijing’s air pollution reached danger levels. Shanghai, Guangzhou and some other Chinese cities are also dangerously polluted.

China is the most polluted country in the world. Estimated 2011 CO2 Emissions in metric tonnes in:
1. China 8.7 billion
2. USA 5.42 billion
3. India 1.97 billion
4. Russia 1.83 billion
5. Japan 1.24 billion
6. Germany 810 million
7. South Korea 610 million
8. Canada 560 million
9. Indonesia 490 million
10. United Kingdom 470 million

.
Time has come to sell canned fresh air in other polluted countries.

Kamasutra vs patriarchy.

Kamasutra5

Finally some women open their mouth against Kamasutra,
an ancient Indian text on human sexual behavior.

“Vatsyayana failed to examine female desire and since then, women have been silent about it.”

“Kamasutra is silent on how a woman should pursue Kama or enjoy sensual pleasure”.

“Kamasutra teaches that a man can forcefully have sex with a woman and then marry her. This is against the concept of women’s security. The text has been practised for thousands of years and passed down generation… such ideas encourage treatment of woman as an object.”

“This accumulated knowledge has led to patriarchal attitudes becoming deeply embedded in the men. This encourages violence against women and we need to recognise that.”

“Even today, the so-called empowered women are not ready to face their own sexuality.”

“Women need to become equal to men. We have to work for that because men are not going to make us their equal. We must stop sacrificing our jobs for family or kids or housekeeping,”

I personally do not like some parts of Kamasutra. For example, the fourth book. It explains the role of the wife.

A wife’s main role is to keep the house functional – clean, with food on the table, well-maintained, and self-sufficient. Meals are a crucial part of a woman’s duties and she should make sure to consider what her husband likes and dislikes and what things are good for him. If a wife shows folly or ill-temper, is disliked by her husband, cannot bear children, or continually births girls, the man is free to take a second wife, whom the first wife must care for like a daughter.

Sex is a male thing, women should remain silent about their desires, men should assert their sexual dominance over women, women’s duty is to please their husbands – these concepts are not 2000 years old. Vatsyayana did not invent these concepts. 6000 year old patriarchy did.

Patriarchy does not care about women’s desire or pleasure. At least Kamasutra did. Vatsyayana was probably the first person in the patriarchal world who expressed the ideas about building women’s confidence until she was fully receptive and unafraid of having sex. According to Vatsyayana, the building of confidence is crucial, a man must recognize the signs that indicate that a girl is not only ready for sex, but that her affection has reached a sufficient point to allow him to have sex with her. Here Kamasutra is more female friendly than patriarchy.
