Trump becoming increasingly pathetic

We are witnessing the transition from Trump being bold and bombastic to becoming weak and pathetic as his aggressive actions are turning out to be ineffective, resulting in him having to lie and plead.

We see that most clearly in his actions with China. He must have thought that the high tariffs he slapped on imports from that country would swiftly cause them to buckle. But they have hung tough and reciprocated with high tariffs of their own and the stock markets cratered. So now he is reduced to essentially pleading with them to call him and promising them that he will be “very nice” to them if they call. He claims that the two countries have been in talks but the Chinese dismissed that.

The US and China held talks on Thursday to help resolve the trade war between the world’s two largest economies, Donald Trump said.

“We may reveal it later, but they had meetings this morning, and we’ve been meeting with China,” the US president told reporters at the White House.

China had earlier hit back against Trump’s previous claim to be close to a trade deal with Beijing.

Trump had buoyed markets by suggesting on Wednesday that the US was “actively” negotiating with Beijing, and pointing to hopes of a deal that would “substantially” reduce tariffs, now set at 145%, on goods coming into the US from China.

The Chinese commerce ministry’s spokesperson He Yadong said there were “currently no economic and trade negotiations between China and the United States”.

Rather than acquiescing to Trump, the Chinese have canceled 12,000 metric tons of US pork imports and also suspended Boeing jet deliveries.

It is not just with China that the punitive tariffs have proved to be a bust. Trump claims that he has negotiated over 200 deals with other countries but cannot say with which countries or what the deals involve, a sure sign that he is lying.

Then on Ukraine, after promising to end the war even before he took office, now Trump has descended to pleading with Russian president Vladimir Putin to stop bombing that country.

Pathetic.

Putin isn't even on Truth Social but it'll get back to him, and he will just laugh his ass off. Just like the rest of the world is laughing at us right now.

What kind of leader uses social media to discuss major issues with the leader of another country? Especially when he could call and talk to him directly? He sounds like a middle-schooler and Putin must be highly amused.

Trump also said that the US will walk away from any negotiations if Russia and Ukraine cannot agree to a deal. On the sidelines of pope Francis’s funeral, Trump had talks with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy. I wonder what it must be like for Zelenskyy to discuss the war with someone who has such a childlike understanding of geopolitics.

His disappointment will in no way prompt him to back Ukraine. That Trump Tower opportunity in Moscow still beckons.
Also, confronting a big country he takes seriously is too much like ‘work’.

He will deport LOTS of innocent people before he is finished.
And his inaction is allowing Russia to prolong the war at least another year before their military and economy collapses and Putin falls from a high-rise building.

Please tell me a time when herr dumpf was not pathetic. The fact is that he has always been a blowhard with no respect anywhere in the world but the halls of congress where his repukelican cronies lick his ass all day. He lies as easily as he sucks down a cheeseburger. He will walk away from any deal or negotiation that isnt going his way, which for some odd reason turns out to be most of them.

The Orange Turd is still jealous that Obama got a Nobel Peace Prize. Blowhard though he could easily stop the war in Ukraine and get one for himself. He is the most pathetic, weak, self-centered, juvenile racist idiot that has ever been elected.

Of course, Trump is lying. There are no negotiations. China does not need the US; the situation is, the US needs China. Why would they back down? Our economy is not going great and most likely will get worse. China can hold out far longer than US. This video I think explains it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UY3od-zwlps

Given his desire to cause serious harm to those who he thinks have mearly insulted or embarrassed him; I’ve often thought that he’s stuck in the terrible twos.

Trump had talks with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy

An unfunny joke was talking to a former comedian. -- A Ukrainian that I used to work with said that Zelensky’s experience as comedian made him good politician since he understood people.

the Chinese have canceled 12,000 metric tons of US pork imports

That actually will work out well, since the American pork industry relies heavily on undocumented immigrants. The decline in supply will match the drop in demand.

    Inept. Incompetent. Unqualified. Corrupt.

This is the fractal make-up of the Trump regime. It matters not who you look at, where you look, how much you pan out or zoom in. It’s always these things, over and over again on issue after issue. This one is no different.

Summary: To achieve real change, Americans must make their disapproval so loudly heard that there is no mistaking that the majority of Americans are against him. Only then will the fence-sitters be willing to move.

(My own comment: to get there, please primary away the old weak links in the Democratic lesdership)
