The suspected shooter was later found dead, probably self-inflicted.

Colbert puts in in much better words than I can do.
Stephen Colbert is a devout Catholic man, and he used his faith to work a day in the fields and then testified to Congress about it and taking care of “the least of these”. MAGA Mike Johnson is a fan of that branch of Christianity that says God rewards the wealthy and the poor deserve it.
Leading with “he was mentally ill”… OK. Interesting choice.
