“The Best Western is next door.”
I bet Best Western appreciates that endorsement.

That’s an interesting excuse for racial slurs: “my grandmother died”. My grandmother is on palliative care for her cancer, so I will find out soon if dying grandmothers prompts promotes usage of racial epithets.

Rather impressive composure under very trying circumstances. Gotta hand it to him.

It is amazing how “apologetic” someone gets when they find themselves on the other side of a power dynamic.

Interesting side piece about Best Western:

I don’t even like BW, I prefer a mid-lower end Hyatt/Hilton/Marriott property any day. However, I also travel to remote locations a lot because of my love of nature and National Parks. I will HAVE to stay at 5-6 BW locations on my 8 day vacation this summer, because there’s no other chain property (= no need for research of hotel) in those locations!

    Deanna,

Sadly, I have long ago given up expecting people who are the victims of bigotry, prejudice, and discrimination because of one factor to not do the same thing to others based on other factors.

My white dad and Latina mother had to take steps to protect us kids from whites of all genders.
Most problems occurred when dad was not with mom and us kids.
