The former Mexican president turns out to have quite the comedy chops. He has produced some memorable digs using salty language at Donald Trump and his plans to build the wall, but now he goes further and says that he is going to run for US president in 2020. He makes the announcement in this campaign video where he discusses his platform and his strategy for winning.
We should remember that Mexico is not only a neighbor of the US but also one of its closest allies. Having the most recent ex-president speak so contemptuously of the current US president is astounding, however funny it is. Since the current Mexican president is from a different party than Fox, he probably has little influence over him. But I wonder how he feels about this. Is he pleased that Fox can give voice to what Mexicans feel but that he himself cannot say? Or is he worried that Trump, being the person he is, will retaliate angrily to Mexico because of Fox’s jibes?

Awesome! A few slow patches, but with some coaching he could get to the political comedy circuit. Three words: Donald, fucken, Trump, and complete with an appropriate finger gesture!
