Warmest first six months (and June) on record

Hot on the heels of the news last week from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that 2014 was the warmest year on record comes another report that the first half of 2015 was also the warmest first half of the year in the 136-year record and that June was the warmest June as well.

However, don’t get your hopes up that US politicians will see this as a sign that they must do something. If you look at the map of temperatures around the globe, you will see that the area around Washington DC was an outlier in having average temperatures. Since our political leaders get their climate knowledge by what it is like outside their offices, they will continue to act as if there is nothing to worry about.

Lemme guess -- that “Record Coldest” zone south of Greenland comes from melting glaciers, right?

Prob’ly the same for the “Cooler than Average” Straits of Magellan, too. :-O

Don’t talk so silly -- they also watch False Noise!

And in one of the few blue area of the map, we’ve had a month of June that was colder than the month of May which is a first.

Climate change? Hottest six months ever? Nonsense! The thermostat was set at 70 all that time so there wa no temperature change.
