When I wrote my post on the New York City politician who had put on blackface and donned an Afro wig to portray himself as a basketball player and his subsequent non-apology apology, I had not known that Dov Hikind is a well-known figure in the Orthodox Jewish community who has a reputation for being extremely sensitive to perceived slights.

The Daily Show seems to have been well aware of Hikind’s past and so seized on his bizarre behavior to have some fun at his expense.
