Nothing is correct in this illustration

I know a little bit about development, so this abomination made me want to punch an anti-choicer.

The mother’s abdomen doesn’t change size over 9 months, the fetal proportions are all wrong up until about 6 months, the embryo is not a blastula at 1 month, I don’t know what that bean is doing in there at 2 months, then suddenly it becomes a literal newborn at 3 months, the embryo is not located somewhere in the midbody, the fetus is not co-localized with the vertebral column, and its feet do not protrude from the abdomen, and its head does not displace the heart. It’s a disgraceful mass of misinformation.

This is what happens when you combine profound ignorance with AI slop, all motivated by an irrational ideology. You can find them on YouTube (40,000 followers) and Instagram (110,000 followers), where anyone can be an expert in science and medicine.

Whlst AI slop and data centres are swamping us with shit; good science is getting massively cut and suffering eg and tangetial but with a familiar name here albiet our fellow commenters one is a psuedonym I gather :

The crippling of forecasting: John Morales on severe cuts to NOAA’s budget as hurricane season carries on
“In addition to the massive cutbacks that have already been implemented at the National Weather Service, the Trump administration also intends to gut the research offices and weather labs across several branches of the agency.”

Huh. 2025? Just saw something on this on fb tonight and first I”ve heard of it.

Via one of my ffb friends fb posts :

John Morales, a meteorologist and hurricane specialist with NBC6 in South Florida, was reporting on an upcoming storm when he suddenly shifted gears, right in the middle of the broadcast.

Morales explains that in his 34 years of presenting the weather, he’s always been able to confidently tell his viewers when a hurricane might hit, or when it might turn away. He’s always been able to stand behind his data, modeling, and forecast in order to help protect the people of South Florida.

“I am here to tell you that I am not sure I can do that this year.”

Why? “Because of the cuts, the gutting, the sledgehammer attack on science in general.”

Morales then pulled up a graphic instead of his usual weather map. It laid out some stark realities about severe understaffing of the National Weather Service and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Between brutal layoffs, employees accepting the recent DOGE buyout, and straight-up resignations, the agencies responsible for collecting weather data have lost hundreds and hundreds of valuable experts.

He also explained that due to federal government budget cuts, there’s been a sizable decrease in weather balloon launches across the country. Weather balloons are instruments that take crucial measurements of the upper atmosphere and send data that helps with forecasting. With less data available and lower-quality data, Morales says that “the quality of forecasts is becoming degraded.”.

The first two months look to be tumors. From the tumors, a parasitic twin, a Kuato if you will, forms which has psychic abilities.

I like the part where it starts growing through the mother’s spine and protruding from her back.

And it (he? she? they?) faithfully maintain(s) a posture of prayer for seven months!

That makes it explicit that, before 3 months, it’s just a blob. Defs not a baby.

    That’s the first trimester!

Hmm.. text says it’s “ïnside the womb” but the illustration seems to show it growing outside on the body on the woman’s side and starting with like a bruise that then becomes wart or lump or something?.

It looks from that last row like if it was inside her there wouldn’t be much space for the mother’s internal organs including her heart and lungs.

Yeah, it does not actually work like that.

The fetus is actually budding out from the side of this woman.

It is the asexual phase of the human life cycle.
