I spent a winter in Maryland a year after another winter in Connecticut. Neither was super pleasant given Florida is my baseline, but I learned driving in snow and on ice. I imagine Minnesota to be much worse.
Right now we are looking at a potential heat dome in the southeast, but maybe only into the mid to high 90s where I live. Thankfully we rarely approach 100. Plus we are built for heat with ACs and whatnot.

We had a heat dome here just last week. It finally ended about two days ago. I don’t believe it got above the low 80s today. It was still humid, rainy in fact, but the heat index of 116° is over for now.
