Trans boxer defeats cis athlete!

It happened again. A trans person used the natural advantages of their true biological origins to change sex and rule over the cis folk in an athletic competition. We have to do something to stop this!

Except it was a trans man who was assigned female at birth who beat a cis man in a boxing match. I am so confused. Does this mean “biological women” are naturally, intrinsically better at boxing than born men?

Quick, someone use TERF logic consistently to explain this away for me.

Sadly, the TERFs already have a ready-made explanation for this:

If a MTF athlete beats a cis woman: “Natural male advantages at sport!”
If a FTM athlete beats a cis man: “FTM hormone treatments are basically performance enhancing drugs, being FTM is exactly the same as doping/steroids!”

Broader challenge: Someone use TERF logic to actually explain away anything in a way that does not directly contradict other data-supported science.

Kind of late to the party aren’t they?

That’s right… a cis girl beat all the other cis boys.
Let the TERFs explain that one.

I mean, if a cis girl beats all other competitors to take a state wrestling championship, where does that leave the transphobes and their screeching about steroid advantages that trans athletes have over cis athletes?

Marcus Ranum @ 5, yep, I’m known to lose on points, in part because I have a disconcerting tendency of blocking with my chin. Thankfully, granite is envious of my skull density and hardness.

Actually, not entirely true. I do even more blocking with my frontal bone.

It would have been unsportsmanlike had the match gone the other way, since men aren’t supposed to hit women, dontchaknow. /s

Consistently? I think I see your problem there.

Ichthyic, actually, ‘consistently’ is polysemous; it can mean internally consistent or it can mean regularly or even invariably.

That was clearly not, howewever, OP’s intended usage here. As in it was implied that TERFs are consistently required to apply their logic inconsistently, inconsistent as it it, consistently, with reality.

    =8)-DX, heh.

That was clearly not, howewever, OP’s intended usage here.

So in your estimation, it was not the actual usage, but rather the intended usage that popped Ichthyic’s brain.

As in it was implied that TERFs are consistently required to apply their logic inconsistently, inconsistent as it it, consistently, with reality.

    Consistently required, consistently.

Say it loud, say it proud — after all, Ichthyic’s brain has already popped.
