We’re never cynical enough

Here’s Alex Jones’ real opinion of Trump (probably).

He wishes he’d never met them, but he still jumped on the gravy train and rode it hard for as long as he could. Like every Republican.

I wonder how it feels to be so invested in someone who is grifting you for every dime you have? Four years DJT was robbing his supporters blind and most still haven’t woken up. Most are thanking him for his grift. Yes this means Alex (manjuice) Jones is more intelligent than 70% of Republican voters.

His real opinion of his own significance is on display here too, and it’s a bit higher than I would place it.

PaulBC — Noticed that. I wondered what “game-changing” things he thinks his done. Oh well. I only care to the extent that it shows how “transactional” and venal these guys are. Trump and Stone probably feel the same about him, particularly with this out. The opinion of an asshole about other assholes is mere intestinal gas.

No matter how cynical you get, it is impossible to keep up. – Lily Tomlin.

“I am paranoid — but am I paranoid enough?” — someone, somewhere.

If anyone anywhere thought he was more than a grifter, that person is a sap.

Reminds me of that rush Limbaugh clip from 60 minutes where he straight up admits that he’s just doing it for the money. If anything it makes him even more awful, because he knows he’s wrong but doesn’t give a shit because money, money, money.

I think that the reason is this:
If someone as obviously unsuitable as DJT can become president, why not Alex Jones? He’s smarter, he knows more about politics and international relations (not a high bar), he comes over just as deranged – it really could have been President Alex Jones.
I think that’s what really stings.
