I came across one of these in the wild while tagging woody plants for a research study. My reptilian brain saw it first, and I jumped out of my skin before my conscious brain even realized what I was jumping from! Instantly my favorite butterfly.
The caterpillar can even puff up the part with the eyes to make them look bigger. Very cool!

I also think all those little colourful real snakes are pretty. And poison dart frogs.
